Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej (now Onesti(born November 12, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, now One Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast in history to be awarded a perfect score of 10 during the Olympic competition. Bela Karolyi later Romanian Gymnastics Coach, came across Comaneci at just six years old. Comaneci participated for the first time in the national junior championships. She finished 13th. The following year she became champion. Her first competition in the international arena was in 1972 at a pre-Olympic Junior competition for communist-bloc nations she won three gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1974 she was overall junior champion. In 1975, she won 4 gold and 1 silver medal in her debut senior international competition. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European Champion. The first female to do a reverse double salo with the bar with a parallel surface when she won the American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The journey of Carol Wayne in the world of entertainment started in her teens. Along with her sister Nina Wayne, she joined touring entertainment programs known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a United States citizen, born on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Carol's first job was in entertainment during her teenage year. At the age of 13 she was a figure skater for traveling shows Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. The show featured stage-moving ice-skating shows.
