Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams born August 20, 1974, Aviano Italy American actor. Noted for critically acclaimed performance of charming and naive people. Adams was born to a U.S. Army officer in Italy and grew within Castle Rock Colorado. The early 1990s were when Adams started dancing and performing professionally at Boulder's Dinner Theatre as well as the Country Dinner Playhouse. Later, in Minnesota, at a local theatre, she was a cast as a character in a mock film documentary on beauty pageants called Drop Dead Gorgeous. After her screen debut that was successful where she played an annoying but pleasant contestant, Janet moved from Minnesota to Los Angeles where she began a professional acting career. The couple also had children Kelly Curtis, Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh was found by actress Norma Shearer and signed a contract to be a part of MGM during the 1940s. Leigh was a star in a variety of popular films during the next decade, including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (from the year 1960) as well as Living It Up (1954), starring Martin Lewis.
